Help Empower Out-of-School Youth and Women Through Tailoring Skills

Across many underserved communities in Uganda, thousands of out-of-school youth and vulnerable women possess the determination to build better lives but lack access to practical vocational training and the equipment needed to develop employable skills.

Tailoring is one of the most accessible pathways to self-employment and financial independence. However, many aspiring learners cannot access quality training because there are not enough sewing machines available for practical instruction.

Shine Care Charity for Unprivileged Uganda is expanding its vocational skills training programme by equipping its tailoring training centre with 100 sewing machines. This will enable more out-of-school youth and vulnerable women to receive hands-on training in tailoring, fashion design, garment construction and entrepreneurship.

Every sewing machine purchased through this campaign will create opportunities for learners to acquire practical skills, earn sustainable incomes, establish small businesses and support their families.

Together, we can empower vulnerable youth and women with the tools, skills and confidence to build brighter, self-reliant futures.
